Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

  • Account data: email, display name, company name, company logo
  • Business data: products, quotes, invoices, customers, ledger entries, purchase requests, stock movements
  • Device data: device model, OS version (for crash reporting)
  • Camera: used for scanning receipts, invoices, price lists, delivery notes (images processed via Google Gemini API)
  • Usage data: app interactions for analytics (anonymised)

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to provide the core service (quotes, invoicing, customer follow-up, inventory, financial tracking). AI scanning is performed via Google Gemini (images are sent to Google's API for text extraction and are not stored by Google beyond processing). Authentication is handled via Firebase Auth (Google, Apple, email/password), and cloud storage utilizes Firebase Firestore and Firebase Storage. We also use Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications.

3. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore, Storage) with strict security rules enforcing per-organisation access. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (Google Cloud default encryption). Access control is role-based within the app, and no data is shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Expo (app framework, OTA updates)

5. Data Retention

Account and business data are retained as long as your account is active. For deleted accounts, data is removed within 30 days of a deletion request. AI-scanned images are processed in real-time and are not stored permanently on Google servers.

6. User Rights

  • Access: view all your data within the app
  • Correction: edit any data within the app
  • Deletion: request full account and data deletion (see Data Deletion page)
  • Portability: export data via CSV export feature

7. Children's Privacy

Recepo is not intended for users under 18.

8. Changes to This Policy

Users will be notified via app notification and email when the policy changes.
